A Special Message

Clients and friends,

Every once in a while, I get a feeling I should personally send a note out that's above and beyond our regular messaging. This is one of those times.

First, I want to acknowledge the current market volatility and the difficulties it is causing many of us. We’re all feeling it at the gas pump, the grocery store and beyond. I also want to mention the fear-based environment our 24/7 media continues to perpetuate about everything. It’s challenging to look at the information coming at us from every angle and not apply it to ourselves personally and immediately. It can be hard to get out of our own heads and pull back to look at the big picture.

But as all this relates to your specific financial plan and/or long-term journey, I ask that you try to separate out all the current information. They may have very minimum correlation. Just as one day of your life does not make a complete picture of who you are as a person, a short time in the market does not create an outcome which is measured over many years.

Here's the thing. Markets go up sometimes, and they go down sometimes. There are many different causes. Right now, the markets happen to be volatile. However, we have to remember there are rules to investing and economics that have been around a long time. Investing is about averages, diversification is valuable, and time in the market is more important than timing the market. That being said, after many years of studying behavioral finance, I fully understand there is a highly emotional component to investing too. And it’s this emotional piece that can often lead to making decisions counter-intuitive to the traditional rules of investing.

We at Lee Stoerzinger Wealth Management get up each day and come to work dedicated to those families we are blessed to serve. We follow the markets and global economy closely, build portfolios to best reflect current environments, make changes when needed, and always have a keen eye toward your long-term picture. We have learned after many decades in this business, as in so many other parts of life, there are no short cuts. We are dedicated, we fully understand what’s going on out there, and we are here to serve you.

Please give us a call with any questions or concerns you may have.

Thanks for your time.

Lee
